Why fabberworks

Two sides,
one network

Custom manufacturing in Istanbul without the phone tree, the guesswork or the unpaid invoice. Here is what each side actually gets.

I NEED MANUFACTURING

Why customers use fabberworks

You have a design and a deadline. What you do not have is a shortlist of workshops you can trust, or any way to tell whether a price is fair.

  • Three real quotes, no bidding war

Upload once. Nearby workshops are ranked by capability, distance and rating, and you request quotes from up to three of them in parallel — each priced from that workshop's own rate card, not driven down by an open auction.

  • Your file is checked before you pay

Every STL, STEP, DXF and Gerber gets a design-for-manufacturing check on upload. Thin walls, unreachable pockets and missing tolerances are flagged while they are still cheap to fix.

  • You agree what “correct” means first

Before the request goes out, both sides sign off on a QA acceptance checklist drawn from that DFM report. The finished part is measured against what you agreed, so “this isn't what I ordered” becomes a check rather than an argument.

  • Your money waits in escrow

Payment is held, not handed over. It is released when you accept the part — and if something goes wrong, the dispute process runs while the funds are still sitting there.

  • Workshops are verified, not self-declared

Identity, address and equipment are checked in tiers before a workshop can quote at all. Ratings score quality, speed and communication separately, and a workshop's first three jobs are badged as new instead of blending in.

  • Local actually means local

Every workshop is in Istanbul. Collect in person or have it sent across town — no customs, no three-week freight, and you can go and stand next to the machine if you want to.

I HAVE A WORKSHOP

Why workshops use fabberworks

Your machines cost the same whether they run or not. The hard part was never the manufacturing — it was finding the next job without turning into a salesperson.

  • Sell the hours you are already losing

Mark a machine free for Thursday afternoon and it starts appearing in matches for Thursday afternoon. Idle capacity becomes listed capacity, machine by machine, on your own schedule.

  • Requests that fit your machines

Jobs are matched against what you actually own — process, build envelope, materials, tolerances — so you stop reading enquiries for work you were never going to take.

  • You are paid before you start

The customer's money is already in escrow by the time the job reaches you. No deposit to chase, no thirty-day terms, no invoice that quietly goes unanswered.

  • Your prices, your rules

Each machine carries its own rate card and its own DFM limits. Quotes come out of your numbers, and a job that breaks those limits never reaches you as a request in the first place.

  • A storefront at an address you keep

A public page on a handle that is yours, pulling together your services, price ranges, ratings and finished work across every machine you run. Rename the workshop and the address still works.

  • Reputation you can actually build

Verification tiers, plus a public rating split across quality, speed and communication. Your first three jobs wear a “new workshop” badge, so you get read as new rather than as bad.
